24/12/2024ΕΝΕΑ

During this summer, we have had elections for three new officers positions for ENEA Executive Committee.

We received ten candidacies from various countries. A growing number of members participated in the voting, resulting in the election of Francesco Ferraù, Alfonso Soto Moreno, and Cristina Olarescu as officers. Francesco Ferraù is an Associate Professor of Endocrinology at University of Messina (Italy) and Medical Director and Deputy Chief of the Endocrine Unit of the Azienda Ospedaliera Universitaria Policlinico G. Martino of Messina. Alfonso Soto Moreno is currently the Head and Professor of Endocrinology at Virgen del Rocío University Hospital and Sevilla University. Cristina Olarescu is a Consultant Endocrinologist and Translational Researcher at Section for Specialized Endocrinology, Oslo University Hospital, Oslo, Norway.

Márta Korbonits has become the new President Elect. She is Professor of Endocrinology and Metabolism and Deputy Director of the William Harvey Research Institute at Barts and the London School of Medicine, Queen Mary University of London and Honorary Consultant at Barts Health NHS Trust.

We warmly welcome all the new members of the ENEA ExCO and the new President Elect and wish them all the best in contributing to all ENEA projects and initiatives aimed at promoting education and collaborative research excellence in neuroendocrinology field, and at improving patient-centred clinical care.
